Birthday Cake

Per my previous post, I promised to share the pictures of the cake, cupcakes and banner that I made for Weston's little friends first birthday party.  Here they are. Thank you JT and Susie for letting us be a part of JT's special day.  We used the boys will be boys cricut cartridge for the cupcake toppers and the banner. We had a blast making it. There was one point we looked down and the babies had flour all over them! :) Good times!

Baby food is for babys!

As much as I love buying those cute little jars of wholesome good baby food it looks like I will be crossing it off of my grocery list. Weston is now refusing baby food. I guess he thinks he's a biggie biggie boy now. The past two weeks have been quite challenging in our house. We realized that we need to do a little more baby proofing than we thought. Boy do those little hands stay busy! He is now pulling up and standing on furniture. For the past week we have been struggling with what to feed him. We wanted to feed him the good stuff for as long as we could but I guess little man is getting his own personality. So he has tasted REAL food. It started with some peas and now he is right next to me wanting to taste everything i have on my plate. Ok ok, I confuss, I cut a piece of pumpkin roll and him and I ate it. At first I worried about giving him eggs, sugar etc. but I caved in and figured it was inevitable...HE LOVED IT! His little sweet tooth better not get too excited! So while we were on the "junk food" wagon, tonight my friend Susie and her son JT (westons little buddy who just turned 1) took the boys to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. We really wanted to attempt to let the boys burn off some energy and boy did they ever and Weston ate his first piece of pizza!!! He loved it too. He ate like a pig and had a blast!

I told you I am done eating baby food!

I LOVE PEAS!
This pizza is the BEST!

And so the Hustle and Bustle begins....

Yippie! It's getting to be my favorite time of year and I have sooo many projects going that I sure hope to accomplish it all. Last night I helped  Susie (my new friend) make 4 dozen cupcakes and a personal cake (from scratch of course) for JT's first birthday (Westons little buddy). I was a cake decorating fool! We had powdered sugar clouds all around us and babies crawling on the floor with cheerios and cookie crumbs scattered all around, it was so much fun. I used my cricut with the boys will be boys cartridge to cut out cars and trucks for the toppers. JT's party theme is transportation, so I made a banner to match. All turned out super cute. Pictures will be posted after the festivities. Weston is getting pumped up for his very first friend's birthday party.

I haven't even begun to tell you all about the projects I am working on...Pheww weee! I have been cleaning out the tall baby food jars to use as a mini vase with rocks at the bottom and mums inside for our place settings for Thanksgiving. I will be cutting pumpkins with the cricut of course and using them as a tag with a bow around the jar to have everyones name on them. I bet they will be pretty cute. Of course I will post pictures, silly question. :)

This weekend will consist of numerous pumpkin rolls (back by popular demand by Ian and Ramine).
Well, there are many other projects in store but I think I will wait and suprise you in my next blog post...I don't want to give it all away.

Well, I am off to organize some layouts for my 8 hour scrapbooking crop tomorrow, I am really hoping to get all of Ian's pictures completed soon so I can be current. God knows with my new camera I have plenty to keep me busy the rest of my life.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Baby it's getting "cold" outside

It's that time of year again. That bone chilling wind and your nose and toes never get warm. Ok, I am ready to pack up and head to Tampa! Too bad that's not going to happen anytime soon so I guess I will make some soup, snuggle up with my baby and hang in for the winter. This Mama bear is going into hybernation. Along with this cold weather comes the common cold and yes that little bug has stopped for a visit and decided to hang out in the Poureshmenantalemy house. It's official, Weston has his first cold. Last night was the first night of the bug's visit and boy did he keep us awake. Weston wanted me to hold him most of the night, so I found myself laying on the couch holding him while he could sleep and I just stared at the wall and thought to myself...I am so super tired and there is snot all over me but my baby is finally getting some sleep and this is what life as a Mom is all about and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Now, all of our playdates are rescheduled and we are in for the week to rest up for Weston's very first friend's birthday party on Saturday. So everyone, stay warm (well not all of you in FL) and don't let the bug stay long, he is a pesty guest.
Love to all and stay healthy!
